Here's a few essential tips and techniques for you to follow that will keep your tapware sparkling and functioning flawlessly:

day-to-day care
Product surfaces need to be cleaned regularly with a soft damp micro-fibre cloth, using warm soapy water only, then wiped dry with a soft micro-fibre cloth to reduce watermarking and surface rust.
When cleaning, wipe in the direction of the brushed grain to maintain the brushed appearance.
Residue left by products such as liquid soap, tooth paste, shampoo or shower gel can cause damage, so always rinse these off with clean water after use.
Limescale & watermarking
If your water causes watermarking or a build up of limescale deposits here's some simple ways to deal with the problem:
-
Vinegar: Soak a soft micro-fibre cloth in a white vinegar solution and leave it wrapped around the affected area for 15-20 minutes; this should loosen the limescale. Then scrub the affected area gently with a soft-bristled brush. Rinse clean with warm water and dry as usual.
-
Baking Soda: Make up a thick paste of baking soda with a small amount of water. Apply the paste to the affected area and scrub gently with a soft micro-fibre cloth. Rinse clean with warm water and dry as usual.
-
Commercial cleaners: Use a specialised tapware cleaner specifically designed for removing mineral deposits; always follow the manufacturers instructions carefully.
Clogged Aerators
Tap aerators don't need to be replaced often, but depending on the quality of your water, it will need to be replaced every few years. If you think your aerator needs replacing, chances are it’s just blocked; so if your water isn’t flowing correctly, try cleaning first. Here’s how:
Remove the aerator: Gently unscrew the aerator from the tap head or spout.
Clean the aerator: Place the aerator in a bowl of white vinegar or a mild cleaning solution for an hour or overnight. This will help dissolve any built-up mineral deposits. Use a small brush to scrub off loose grime; then using a spare toothbrush to clear any clogged holes.
Rinse and reassemble: Rinse the aerator thoroughly under running water, reassemble it, and screw it back on.
stainless steel
Although Stainless Steel is suitable for most outdoor installations it can be a problem in coastal areas and requires regular maintenance to prevent corrosion, especially "tea staining" caused by salt spray and humidity. Stainless steel surfaces should be cleaned regularly with a soft damp micro-fibre cloth and warm soapy water, then sprayed with fresh water and wiped dry. To reduce watermarking on the surface, clean with a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar, spray with fresh water and then wipe dry.
caution
AVOID HARSH CLEANERS. The use of cream cleansers, or cleaning products containing a corrosive acid or scouring agent. These may damage the surface or cause discolouration and void your warranty. These include:
Bleach and bleaching agents
Ammonium and ammonium agents
Highly acidic cleaners
Alcohol and mineral-based solvents
LIMIT exposure to high levels of salt.
AVOID contact with sharp objects which may chip or scratch the surface.
AVOID scourers and rough brushes for cleaning as they may damage the surface product.
